Luke 17:26-30
26 And
as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the
days of the Son of Man: 27 They ate, they drank,
they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day
that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them
all. 28 Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot:
They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they
built; 29 but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it
rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all.
30 Even so will it be in the day when the Son
of Man is revealed.
This
is part 2 of a 2 part series "How Can We Know that We Are Living
in The End Times?” The scripture above that was spoken by our
LORD gives us a clue as to the two signs that will indicate the
time frame or generation that will see HIS return.
Take
careful note of verse 30,
Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is
revealed.
Yeshua is careful to link the attitudes, social and spiritual
environments of a future generation to the days of Noah and Lot.
HE also is careful to make an absolute statement of fact by
using the word "will,”
thereby making this scripture Prophetic in nature. Therefore,
for us to understand what the generation would be like that
would see the return of Christ,
we
must study the days of Noah and Lot.
We also must understand what is meant by the term, "day when
the Son of Man is revealed.”
So, let’s break these down one at a time.
1.
Days of Noah - Genesis 6:13-21; The theme in the account of Noah seems
to, "the earth was filled with violence". As I mentioned
above,
YESHUA was careful to link the theme of Noah's day to the
generation that would live to see HIS return to this earth to
finally bring peace and harmony to us all. I don't think anyone
would really argue with me about our day being marked by extreme
violence and acts of brutality against the innocent. All one has
to do is look at our schools today. When ten and twelve year
olds are killing one another, I think that equates to a violent
society. I could bore you with crime statistics and how crime
has increased since the 1950's, but I won't do that here only
because I really believe there is no argument with the
statements above.
I would also like to bring your attention to the phrase "went
out" (NKJV). I find it interesting that both Noah and Lot,
as described by the Biblical reference, "went out". In
other words, both men left their homes, the places they were
comfortable. In the actual accounts, they had to leave in order
for judgment to come. In Noah's case, not only was an invitation
extended to him and his family, but, the LORD told him to go to
his extended family as well and to bring them along. GOD loves
us so much that HE would never have us face HIS wrath. You see,
friends, what was about to happen to the people of the earth
at that time, was GOD'S wrath, or anger was going to be poured
out on the inhabitants of earth. We,
however, have not been appointed to HIS wrath, see Romans 5:8-9;
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we
were still sinners, Christ died for us. Much more than
having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved
from wrath through Him. This is why GOD removed Noah
and this is why GOD will remove us, just before the time of HIS
judgment comes again - via The Seven Year Tribulation Period.
2.
Days of Lot - Genesis 19:30-38; The theme of this account seems to be
sexual sin, immorality, worldliness, materialism and a-moral
behavior. Before I tackle the theme above, I thought you would
find this interesting. I went to the Encarta Encyclopedia and
did some research on Lot and the people of his day, and here's
what I found. The people of current day Jordan are actually half
Jewish. They are brothers to the Israelites. Lot's daughter gave
birth to Lot's grandson, Lots happens to be the dad as well, who
founded the Moabite and Ammonite Kingdoms. Let's not forget the
account of Ruth and Naomi. Naomi was a Moabite. It is
interesting that in the final judgment that is coming,
GOD
shows mercy to Jordan and in fact some of the Jewish remnant in
Revelation 12:1-6 flee to what many Prophetic Scholars believe
to be Petra modern day Jordan for safety. Petra is absolutely
impossible to penetrate. There is a break in the mountain that
is very narrow, the only way in or out -
Click Here to study Petra. We should make a point here
and acknowledge just how fair GOD is. We are told in scripture
that GOD will bless those who bless Israel. Jordan and Israel
have a great working relationship today and because they will
extend help to the Jew in the future GOD deals kindly with them.
Now back to the theme above. I don't think I really need to
argue the point here at all. I don't think there is anyone who
would argue that we are not quickly becoming a society of
anything goes. The moral limits and boundaries that once helped
to guard and protect us are being challenged at every front.
They are being pushed back and new boundaries, and in some cases
no boundaries at all, are taking there place. Did anyone really
ever think they would live to see the day when our own President
would have to address the Supreme Court and ask them to keep GOD
in the pledge? Our society is quickly spiraling out of control
and what the Bible said would occur is now happening;
2 Timothy
4:3-4 - For the time will come when they will not endure sound
doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have
itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and
they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned
aside to fables.
The days of Noah and Lot are here. We are that
generation that has the distinction of being like the days of
Noah and Lot. The themes of both Noah and Lot's days have found
their way to us and have merged to become one theme that is set
against GOD and HIS ways.
Finally we should take note, just like with Noah, the Angels
could not bring GOD'S wrath against Sodom and Gomorrah until Lot
and his family were gone, out of the area. The LORD gives us
another clear example of how he protects HIS own and never
judges the just with the unjust. GOD always separates HIS
judgment based on the relationship HE has with you - see
Matthew 25:31-46. The believers go to the right side of
CHRIST and the others go left.
3.
Son of Man Revealed - Matthew 23:34-39;
verse 39 for I say to you, you shall see Me no more till you
say, "Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!"
This scripture reference is concerning the Jews or Israelites.
Today the Jews do not recognize Christ as Messiah. We need not
continue - the point is made right here. Christ was not revealed
at the cross. True, HIS work of Redemption was completed at the
cross and the door way opened for those who believe (have faith
in HIM) to be saved. However, HIS revealing in our time
continuum, to all of us in this realm will not truly come until
HIS second return. The second Advent of YESHUA (Jesus Christ)
will come at the end of the Tribulation period, see Zechariah
14: 1 - 21 and Revelation 19: 1 - 21. It is at this time when
HIS feet touch the Mount of Olives that the Jews and the whole
world will have to say, "Blessed is He who comes in the name
of the Lord!" You will not have to guess, you will
know! Remember, he Jews will think, they will be deceived by the
Antichrist into thinking he is their Messiah. After he goes into
the temple and says, "I am god", the Jews realize that they have
been duped. Therefore, when YESHUA reveals Himself by descending
to the Mount of Olives, defeating Israel's and HIS enemies and
then marching to the East gate of the temple, then they will
know and be eager to accept HIM. There will be mourning, weeping
and wailing in all Israel because they will know that they
turned their backs on their TRUE KING! Their eyes and hearts
will be finally open.
§
Zechariah 12:10 - "It shall be in that day that I will seek to destroy all
the nations that come against Jerusalem. And I will pour on the
house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of
grace and supplication; then they will look on Me whom they
pierced. Yes, they will mourn for Him as one mourns for his only
son, and grieve for Him as one grieves for a firstborn. Yes,
they will mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son, and
grieve for Him as one grieves for a firstborn. 11 In that day
there shall be a great mourning in Jerusalem, like the mourning
at Hadad Rimmon in the plain of Megiddo.* 12 And the land shall
mourn, every family by itself: the family of the house of David
by itself, and their wives by themselves; the family of the
house of Nathan by itself, and their wives by themselves; 13 the
family of the house of Levi by itself, and their wives by
themselves; the family of Shimei by itself, and their wives by
themselves; 14 all the families that remain, every family by
itself, and their wives by themselves.
§
Revelation 1:7
- Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see
Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth
will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen.
Our
LORD in that day will finally be mourned for...the mourning that
HE never received! What a day that will be.
In this day that we live, we find many Believers and
Non-Believers are extremely concerned about events they see
unfolding and what this may mean for their future. Some even
believe that things are spiraling out of control. This I can
promise you. GOD through our LORD is in complete control of all
the events we are seeing in this generation. Nothing happens
without HIM knowing about it. The Bible predicted moral
collapse, the rise of Muslim Fundamentalism, collapse of Russia,
signs in the sun, moon, and stars, and even the general sense of
impending doom. The Word also predicted the collapse of the
Israeli Peace Process, controversy over Jerusalem, and even the
development of the European Union. The Bible has with 100%
accuracy predicted that all these things would begin at
approximately the same point in history and would develop along
parallel lines. Because that is exactly what is happening, it
proves things aren't out of control, but carefully under control
- by a Grand Designer on a scale and magnitude that only a
person who posses Faith can understand.
In
conclusion, we can know we are living in the End-Times (Last
Days) because our current day is marked by the scares of
violence (Noah's Day) and sexual sin and a-moral behavior (Lot's
Day) without question. Kids are molested by parents, kids are
killing one another in our schools, drugs are available in every
city, homosexuality is becoming a welcome standard, the world
has gone nuclear, global earthquakes, global climate changes,
wars and rumors of wars are in the news daily. I'll let you be
the judge. However, it certainly seems to me that we are most
definitely that generation our LORD predicted would see HIS
return. To me the evidence is all around us and is indisputable!
Our day is marked by what I call the Noah and Lot Syndrome! What
a day to be alive...
Let’s get out there and tell someone the good
news...YESHUA is returning - get ready!
I hope you have your spiritual bags packed because we are all on
borrowed time!
GOD BLESS ALL and HAPPY NEW YEAR,
Bro Steph

God
has a "Pardon" in Heaven with YOUR name on it...
Is Yeshua (Jusus Christ) your God-Savior today? If not, first
believe in your heart that God did send Yeshua (Jesus Christ) to
earth to take our sins upon himself by dieing on the cross and that
after 3 days He was raised from the dead by the Father to
everlasting life. Yeshua became a living sacrifice, God's provided
sacrifice, the Sacrificial Lamb of God for you and me. Now ask him
to forgive you your trespasses and sins and confess him as LORD in
Faith and decide to follow and serve HIM COMPLETELY. Now you do
have Eternal Life! It's PROMISED and HE does have a "Pardon" in
Heaven with YOUR name on it. If you put your Faith in Him today,
welcome to the family!
If you need additional insight to who Yeshua is

John 3:16-17
Remember, "God so LOVED the World that he GAVE HIS ONLY begotten SON,
that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have Eternal Life.
God did NOT send His son into the World to Condemn it, but through HIM
the World might be Saved!
1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Proverbs 3:5-8
Trust in the LORD with all your heart; and lean not to your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart
from evil. It shall be health to your navel, and marrow to your
bones.
1 Peter 5:6-7
Humble yourself under the mighty hand of GOD, that HE may exalt
you in due time, casting ALL your Care upon HIM, for HE cares for YOU!
Romans 6:20-23
For when you were the servants of sin, you were free from
righteousness. What fruit had you then in those things of which you
are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death. But now being
made free from sin, and having become servants to God, you have your
fruit to holiness, and the end everlasting life. For the wages of sin
is death: but the gift of God is eternal life, through
Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 10:8-13
But what does it say? "THE WORD IS NEAR YOU, in your mouth and in your
heart"--that is, the word of faith which we are preaching, that if you
confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your
heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with
the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the
mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. For the Scripture says,
"WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED." For there is no
distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of
all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him; for "WHOEVER WILL
CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED."
To be forgiven of your
sins and have Eternal Life is as simple as praying, "Father I am a
sinner, I agree with you, I have sinned, I believe with all my heart
that Yeshua (Jesus Christ) died for me on the cross, please forgive me
of my sin, I chose to turn away from my sin and old life and chose to
follow Jesus Christ now. I accept Yeshua's (Jesus Christ) death,
barrial, and ressurrection for me now. Thank you for saving my soul!
In the name of Jesus Christ Amen...
If you prayed this
and meant it
CONGRATULATIONS you are now saved from the penalty of sin
(separation from GOD), and now will live forever with GOD! Remember to
read the Bible start with the Gospel of John, talk with GOD (pray),
cultivate your new relationship with Him, ask GOD to help you to
not sin. If you do sin just remember Yeshua (Christ) died for your
sin and forgives you, the penalty of sin (death) is not upon you any
longer, next find people of like mind
in your area to help you on your new quest...I should put some emphasis on this, when you ask Yeshua
into your life, you are making a life long commitment/promise
that you have chosen to change the course of your life with HIS help and to stop
doing those things that you know disappoint GOD. GOD'S Spirit now
lives in you and HE will let you know when you have disappointed him.
When you sense this has happened, stop, ask GOD for forgiveness
1 John 1:9 and HE WILL forgive you!
