I thought I would use this time to look back briefly and examine how President Bush's non literal interpretation of the Bible effected his Presidency and our country. Before I continue, back in 2004 or so, I asked the question, how could a Born Again President do what no other President in our history had done, offer Israel up to the chopping block by suggesting that a 2 State Solution was an acceptable position to solve the Middle East problem? My answer was simple...he could not believe that the Bible should be taken literally and now we have the proof. I was correct in my suggestion that Bush picks and chooses what he believes is worthy of consideration in the Bible. See the proof here. Furthermore, Bush is the Father of the 2 State Solution and will ultimately have to bare the full responsibility for setting Israel up for a great fall to come. See a very interesting video here - http://www.the18.org/video.html . With the above being said, let's take a quick look back over just the last year. If we were to review the last eight years, well, I'd have to hire a staff of researchers and writers just to catalog all God has done. Our ministry has put out multiple calls to Mr. Bush to stay out of the Middle East problem, but unfortunately, he refused to listen to anyone who has tried to shed light on the subject. We, as others, warned that if he attempted to divide Israel and especially Jerusalem, Mr. Bush would in effect be declaring war against God Himself, see Joel chapter 3. Because Bush failed to heed the call let's focus our reference points on those things that occurred just from September 2008 to the present. In August of this year (2008) President Bush asked Condi Rice, Secretary of State, to make a push for Mid-East Peace. He demanded that all stops be pulled out and that a peace plan had to be in place to secure his legacy as President. We all know what happened...there was no peace and in fact, the exact opposite took place - Israel is once again being pummeled with bombs and threatened from every quarter. Iran, Syria, the PA and Hamas from Gaza want Israel done away with and this time they all have the will and weaponry, supplied by Russia, China and North Korea, to get the job done. However, it doesn't stop there, the U.S. almost out of nowhere collapsed economically and then the problem moved to the world stage. We are now in the worst recession ever witnessed and if we are not careful we will see deflation which could send the world's economies into complete chaos.
The question must be asked here,
has this been allowed to happen as a severe warning from the
Lord for meddling where we have no business? Is this the
beginning of a more severe judgment looming on the horizon
because of our leaders refusal and the world's leaders refusal
to listen to God and His people's out cry? The current economic
crisis is directly, through current events (connect the dots),
connected to Bush's last push for a land for peace deal. Again,
I have to point out - when a leader doesn't see the Bible as
the literal Word of God, error is common place and unfortunately
inevitable! In the political world everyone was anticipating Bush's December surprise. Christians who follow Bible prophecy thought it might be a strike at Iran's nuclear facilities or at worst the U.S. would give Israel the green light to destroy Iran's nuclear capabilities. Instead we were caught totally off guard by this one. Mr. Bush decided to hog-tie Israel and force them into a no win land for peace option once he leaves office (see article here). Bush only demonstrated, yet again, that he agrees with the United Methodists posture when it comes to Israel (eye opening info.). It should be stated here that President Bush is a card carrying member of the United Methodist's. I'm sure you'll find this enlightening as well. I should insert this here, there are many United Methodist's that love the Lord, however the majority who are card carrying faithful do not like Israel one bit. It seems that many seem to be of one mind, its okay for Israel to continue to be bombed relentlessly without any self-defense. Does anyone really think if Southern California were bombed in the same fashion that the U.S. would just sit down and talk with the enemy? If you do think this way then you're not living in the real world and you need to stop drinking the purple Kool-Aide. Please see our Feburay 23rd report for more information as well. So now here we are, almost at the end of the year, and we are seeing worsening economic indicators as well as the world is growing more and more perilous by the day. Soon we will have a new inexperienced President take center stage and he will have his hands full. The warning to President Bush was, if you meddle in Israel's affairs and get in God's way your administration will suffer loss. The warning to President Elect Obama is the same... Mr. Obama stay out of the land for peace problem in Israel, otherwise you, the U.S. and its citizens will suffer greatly at the hand of an angry God. If we thought the last eight years was tough we haven't seen anything yet. It really is simple to understand, bless Israel the Apple of God's Eye or get in the Lord's way and you will deal with Him directly. God makes it real clear, but here's the hook, you have to believe the Bible is God's Literal Word to get the message and there lies the problem. Most of our leaders just don't believe God means what He says. The Bible is not fantasy where we pick and choose what applies to us - the whole book applies to all of our lives and we need to act accordingly. Mr. Obama please read Joel chapter 3, Ezekiel 36-39, the book of Daniel, Zechariah 11-14 and all of Revelation and for heavens sake stay out of the Israeli/Arab conflict and let God deal with it, because He's the only one who can. Mr. Obama, if you honor God and His word God will honor and bless all of us. If you fail to humble yourself and obey the Lord you and your administration will only see continued trouble and loss. Only God really knows what the future will bring, however, based on the current trends and the moral decay that seems to be gripping our societies, I'm not real optimistic about the future of our country and this world, but, I will say this, to those of us that take the Bible literally we have a glorious future to look forward to - one that is to large, to huge for our minds and hearts to comprehend and personally, I can't wait to experience what the Lord has in store for us - those of us who love Him and are called according to His purpose! Because, in truth, because they have misled my people, saying, "Peace," when there is no peace; and because, when the people build a wall, these prophets smear whitewash on it. Say to those who smear whitewash on it that it shall fall. (Ezekiel 13:1-16 / NRSV) This Month's Headlines...
