Middle East Peace Update Report

Psalm 83 2-5; For behold, Your enemies make a tumult; And those who hate You have lifted up their head. They have taken crafty counsel against Your people, And consulted together against Your sheltered ones. They have said, "Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation, That the name of Israel may be remembered no more." For they have consulted together with one consent; They form a confederacy against You:

I thought we could look at where we are with respect to the Middle East Peace Process. We know from scripture that any peace that is induced by man will ultimately end in failure and will be disastrous for the world - see 1 Thessalonians 5:3 . Peace is the mantra of the day, however, Ezekiel 13:10 tells us; because they have seduced My people, saying, 'Peace!' when there is no peace... This has a very familiar ring to it, don't you agree?

We also know that God often works through political events and the political systems on earth to accomplish His purposes. A great example of this would be how the Wise Men went to Herod the King to discuss the Birth of Christ. God worked through the political system of that day to fulfill prophecy. Because of this, I was wondering what political mechanism could the Lord use to bring about the invasion of nations against Israel, God's land and His people?

As I was doing my research for this report and I came across the audio below and thought it perfectly laid out, how in fact, God could bring this all about. Please listen to the audio that discusses the Quartet which could very well be the political system God uses to one day soon accomplish His plans.

Where is all of this leading? What is God purpose in this? Jeremiah 14:19-22 tells us:

Have You utterly rejected Judah? Has Your soul loathed Zion? Why have You stricken us so that there is no healing for us? We looked for peace, but there was no good; And for the time of healing, and there was trouble. We acknowledge, O Lord, our wickedness And the iniquity of our fathers, For we have sinned against You. Do not abhor us, for Your name's sake; Do not disgrace the throne of Your glory. Remember, do not break Your covenant with us. Are there any among the idols of the nations that can cause rain? Or can the heavens give showers? Are You not He, O Lord our God? Therefore we will wait for You, Since You have made all these.

God wants to produce a contrite heart and an attitude of humility within His people the Jews. The Lord is waiting for them to call out to Him and to say, "Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!"

Matthew 23:37-39; "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing! See! Your house is left to you desolate; for I say to you, you shall see Me no more till you say, 'Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!'

And this is what all of history has been leading up to and we are the generation that just may see this momentous event take place!

Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes and clever in their own sight ... for they have rejected the law of the LORD Almighty and spurned the word of the Holy One of Israel."
